Can Someone Explain Which Menu OrderOut Pulls for My Restaurant?

Hi everyone! I’m setting up OrderOut for my restaurant, and I’d like to understand how the menu import process works. Specifically, I’m wondering which menu OrderOut pulls in for orders—does it sync with my Clover POS menu, or does it pull directly from the delivery platforms like Uber Eats and DoorDash? Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Which Menu Does OrderOut Import for My Restaurant?

When you connect a delivery service platform with OrderOut, the system will automatically pull the menu from that specific platform—such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Grubhub. This means that OrderOut scrapes the menu directly from the platform where you’ve set up your menu, ensuring it’s the latest version you’ve published there.

Please note that OrderOut does not pull or sync menus directly from your Clover POS system. Instead, it relies solely on the menu data available on the third-party delivery service platforms you’re integrated with. This helps maintain consistency with what customers see on those platforms and reduces manual updates.

Why This Matters: By pulling menus directly from the delivery platforms, OrderOut allows you to streamline your menu management without needing additional setup or syncing from your POS system. If you make changes to your menu on, for example, OrderOut dashboard, those updates will reflect in Uber Eats, Grubhub, and DoorDash allowing for a seamless experience in managing orders.
