How Can I Make Order Adjustments in the OrderOut Dashboard (Items, Pricing, or Payments)?

I often have customers who request changes to their orders after they’ve been placed, such as adding an item, swapping items, or adjusting prices for upcharges. Am I able to make these kinds of order adjustments directly within the OrderOut dashboard? Specifically, can I update order details or make payment adjustments through OrderOut?

Thank you for reaching out with this question! At this time, OrderOut does not support order adjustments within the dashboard.

Once an order has been placed, we receive the order information — including the customer name, order details, and pricing — directly from the delivery platform. OrderOut’s role is to relay that information to your POS system, ensuring orders flow smoothly into your restaurant operations.

Because of this process, we do not have the ability to:

  • Add or remove items from an order
  • Adjust item prices or apply additional charges
  • Modify payment amounts or handle refunds

It’s important to note that OrderOut does not process payments between the customer and the merchant. All payments are handled directly through the delivery platform.

If your customer needs to make a change, we recommend directing them back to the delivery platform (e.g., DoorDash, Uber Eats, GrubHub) to request any order modifications or payment adjustments.
