Why You Can’t Edit Your Menu on UberEats Directly After Integration

When you integrate your UberEats account with a third-party aggregator, such as OrderOut, the aggregator takes over the menu management functionality. Essentially, OrderOut acts as the central hub for managing your menu across all connected platforms, including UberEats. This centralized system is designed to make things more efficient, as it allows you to edit your menu in one place and push updates to all your connected delivery platforms. This way, you don’t have to go into each individual platform separately to make changes.

Due to this integration, the UberEats Merchant Portal restricts access to menu editing to avoid conflicts and ensure that all updates are managed directly through OrderOut.

How to Edit Your Menu Using OrderOut

To make any changes to your menu after the integration, you will need to log in to your OrderOut dashboard. Follow these steps to manage and update your menu:

  1. Go to the OrderOut Dashboard: Visit dashboard.orderout.co in your browser. Once there, sign in with your credentials to access your account.
  2. Navigate to the Menus Section: After logging in, locate the “Menus” section within the dashboard. This section is specifically where you can view and manage all menu items associated with your connected delivery platforms.
  3. Edit Your Menu: Click on the menu you wish to edit. You’ll be able to add, remove, or modify items as needed. The interface is user-friendly, allowing you to make the necessary adjustments easily.
  4. Publish Your Changes: Once you’ve finished editing, make sure to publish your changes. To do this, click on the “Publish Menu” button located at the top right corner of the screen. Publishing the changes is a crucial step because it ensures that the modifications you made are sent to UberEats and other connected platforms.
  5. Instant Update on UberEats: After you publish your changes, they should be applied to your UberEats menu instantly. It’s always a good practice to double-check that the updates are reflected accurately on UberEats by viewing your live menu on the app or website.
