How to Set Modifier Quantities for Menu Items?

Is there a way to set multiple quantity options for a single item modifier? I want customers to be able to choose from different quantities, like 5, 10, 15, or 20 wings. How can I set this up?"

Hi there!

To set up modifiers with multiple quantity options for an item (such as offering choices for 5, 10, 15, or 20 wings), follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your OrderOut dashboard and navigate to the Menu section on the left panel.
  2. Select the item you want to modify. In this case, select the item, such as “BBQ Wings.”
  3. Scroll down to the Modifiers section and click on Add Modifier Group. This will allow you to group modifiers together, giving customers the option to select a specific quantity.
  4. In the Modifier Group window:
  • Name the modifier group something like “Choose Quantity.”
  • Under Customer Selection, set How many choices can the customer select? to Only One if you want them to pick one quantity option.
  1. After setting up the modifier group, add individual modifiers for each quantity option:
  • Click on Add New Modifier within the group.
  • Name each modifier according to the quantity, e.g., “5 wings,” “10 wings,” “15 wings,” etc.
  • Set any additional prices if needed for each quantity option.
  1. Once you’ve added all quantity options, Save the modifier group.
  2. Don’t forget to Publish Menu to apply these changes live.

This setup enables customers to select a single quantity option when ordering items, such as choosing between 5, 10, 15, or 20 wings.
